  The Michelin Guide's review
This forest park (800km2) is located in one of the prettiest parts of the Southern Uplands, where mountains and wooded hills are skirted by rivers and lakes. The forest, inhabited by deer, chamois, squirrels, golden eagles, buzzards, capercaillie etc, occupies 60% of the park's total surface area today, with a majority of Sitka pines. Numerous recreational activities are available (climbing, mountain hikes, fishing and swimming).
