The Michelin Guide's review
The first Jewish immigrants reached the West Indies in 1658, but it took them nearly a century to build a proper synagogue, at the instigation of their leader, Isaac Touro. Touro Synagogue is now the oldest of the country. Located on a quiet street, the building was designed by architect Peter Harrison and happily combines Georgian with Jewish Sephardic traditions.
