Promontorio del Gargano

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions

  The Michelin Guide's review
Jutting out like a spur on the boot of Italy, Gargano is one of Italy's most unspoiled and attractive regions with its hundred-year-old olive groves, dense forests and prehistoric caves. Its varied and pristine coastline makes it a real paradise for sun- and sea-lovers. Although some beaches (belonging to hotels and campsites) are private, there are many others which are open to the public.
