Sun Studio is the most emblematic of the Memphis recording studios, as it was here that rock stars such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and, of course, Elvis Presley, made their first hits. Somewhat spoilt by the souvenir shop on the ground floor, the museum nonetheless makes for a fascinating visit and the first floor remains unchanged. Fans will be delighted by the legendary recordings played here.
