  The Michelin Guide's review
Mae Sariang, a peaceful town with wooden houses lining the River Yuam, boasts two interesting Burmese temples: founded in 1896, the Wat Chong Sun (Wat Uthayarom) has three large chedi. Next to it, admire the Wat Bun Ruang (1939), a monastery with a joyful and lively atmosphere. In an attractive wooden building, visitors are permitted to talk to the young monks, who are delighted to have the chance to practise their English. The square wihan, with its tiered roof and attractive sculptures is a fine example of Burmese architecture.
