The Michelin Guide's review
This low-lying house was built in 1766 for Col. Simeon Perkins. Merchant, ship owner, county militia colonel, judge and member of the Legislative Assembly, he left a detailed account of all his activities in his journal, offering a precious insight into life in a colonial town from 1760 to 1812. The document is the property of the neighbouring Queens County Museum.
