The Michelin Guide's review
The garden is a natural open-air theatre housing over 3,500 plants and 800 varieties of cactus. Created by a couple of enthusiasts whose grandparents owned the land, the garden is home to the only species of cactus endemic to La Désirade, the Melocactus Intortus, more commonly known as the ‘tête à l'Anglais’. This cactus has all but disappeared from the island with the massive influx of goats, which love it (hence the fences). As you walk along the paths lined with benches, you'll also enjoy a lovely view of the sea and its varying shades of blue.
