St Tryphon Cathedral

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Religious monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
You will find it presiding over a square in Old Kotor, trapped in the maze of narrow medieval streets. The first church was built in the 9C to venerate the relics of St Tryphon. The two Romanesque belfries later became Baroque. The cathedral's 35m-long vault reaches a height of more than 13m. Inside, you can admire the high altar retable, the Pala d'Oro, a masterpiece by Kotor's 15C goldsmiths.
