  The Michelin Guide's review
A track leads to the isolated heart of these mountains abounding in lakes, streams, sessile oak trees and a rich carpet of wild flowers. At the end of the glen, a farm offers parking, a tea room and a picnic area at the foot of spectacular falls, cascading over a black rockface. The view is splendid towards the valley end, the Kenmare River and MacGillycuddy's Reeks; an even finer panorama awaits along a curving path to the top of the falls (1hr 30min on foot).
