  The Michelin Guide's review
On this peninsula, between the two tombolos (strips of sand), the old salt marshes of the Étang des Pesquiers are home to pink flamingos. In the little resort of Giens, where Saint-John Perse rests in peace, there is a fine panorama and a pretty little church. The Tour Fondue is one of the embarkation points for Porquerolles. The peninsula can be explored on foot from the port of La Madrague (18km) via a footpath which passes a series of creeks and little beaches.
