Tran Family Chapel
   Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
Hidden from passers-by behind a high wall in a mix of Japanese and Chinese styles, the Tran Family Chapel was built in 1802 by a civilian mandarin by the name of Tran Tu Nhac to worship his ancestors. The "garden of the West" symbolises the future and the "garden of the East" the past, while the house, divided into two (for worship and accommodation), represents the present. Visitors can also admire the ceramic collection amassed over many generations.
