The Abbey of Fontevraud is one of the most important monastic sites in Europe. Don't miss the immense 12C church and the Plantagenet tombs, the 16C wall paintings in the chapter house of the Ste-Marie cloister, St Benoît's Chapel (12C) and the amazing Romanesque kitchen.
