The Michelin Guide's review
With a large beach and fishing pier, Fort Clinch State Park is a magnificent site with many nature trails, and which also houses a well-preserved Civil War-era brick fort. You can roam around the fort or climb the ramparts for a view of Cumberland Island across the river. The visitor centre shows a film that charts the different phases of the fort's construction.
