This three-nave basilica with its impressive Baroque decoration was built from 1642 to 1655 and reflects the importance of Falun in the 17C. The blue and gold colour scheme dates from restoration undertaken in 1905-1906. The elaborate altarpiece and gilded pulpit date from 1669, while the marble baptismal font and organ in the gallery both date from 1906.
