Exhibitions at the Dalarnas Museum focus on the region's most typical traditions, including brightly-coloured old costumes and stunning Dalecarlian peasant paintings. In the section dedicated to Dalecarlian folk music, visitors can listen to traditional singers and musicians. The museum also houses a reconstruction of the study and library of the Nobel Prize-winning writer Selma Lagerlöf, who lived and worked in Falun for many years.
