The Michelin Guide's review
Exotic and endangered animals from across the globe find safe haven in this 1 800-acre park of rolling grasslands in the heart of San Diego County. Today, the park is home to 2 600 wild animals from all around the world and 3 500 different plant species. Part of the zoo can be visited on foot, but there is also a train which crosses the park to allow visitors to observe the animals who live here in semi-liberty. The park also organises various safaris and shows.
