The many vestiges of the city of Dion, scattered in the shade of Olympus, still evokes the splendour of this little town honoured by all the great kings of Macedonia. In addition to the Roman thermae, the little odeon and the early-Christian basilica, it was here that the sumptuous Villa of Dionysus, with its magnificent pavement mosaic was discovered.
