The Michelin Guide's review
Stretching over some 4km, this is one of the loveliest avenues in the country; its most interesting part is between N. Fitzhugh Avenue and La Vista Drive. It was created in the early 20C on the initiative of Robert S. Munger, from a wealthy family of industrialists. The luxurious residences that border it, inspired by the houses of Frank Lloyd Wright, illustrate the Mediterranean, Italian, Spanish, neo-Classical, Tudor, Georgian, Prairie styles... and earned the avenue protected area status in 1974.
