The Michelin Guide's review
This magnificent Lombard building, started in the Romanesque and finished in the Gothic style, boasts a sumptuous white marble façade (with a frieze, large rose window, and statue-columns) fronted by a porch. The interior houses frescoes by artists such as Romanino, Boccaccino and Pordenone. Also of interest is the elegant high-relief by Amadeo, the sculptor-architect of the charterhouse in Pavia.
