The Michelin Guide's review
This fascinating museum, which opened in 1997, is housed in the former Serrurier barracks, renovated by the Italian architect Andrea Bruno. It comprises two complementary sections: the Galerie Doazan, which displays a superb collection of items assembled by the abbot, illustrating traditional Corsica; and the "Musée en train de se faire", which analyses the interactions, often conflicting, between traditional and modern life (industrialisation, tourism, a search for identity etc).
