The Michelin Guide's review
The elegant outline of the castle hints at the lavish interior. This former property of the lords of Coucy quickly became a princely residence and then passed from hand to hand, until it was acquired by the art collector, Jean-François Leriget de La Faye, who invited famous artists to work here: Jean-Baptiste Oudry, notable for his hunting series Les Chasses, Servandoni, architect and great trompe-l'oeil specialist, and Watteau and his students, who are probably responsible for much of the decoration.
