Valley of the Roses

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Natural site
  The Michelin Guide's review
With its tuff hills creased into folds, surrounded by vineyards, orchards and hoodoos of all sizes, bristling like stone minarets, Güllü Dere Valley is a remarkable natural beauty spot. It is dotted with chapels (c. 10C) inside of which are beautiful frescoes, such as the Church of the Cross, with a sculpted cross on the ceiling and the Church of St John, which also boasts a handsome interior.
