Moved a few kilometres upstream from the port of Can Tho to facilitate boat traffic, the Cai Rang floating market (also accessible by road) is the largest in the delta. The spectacle every morning of myriad boats bobbing about around floating stalls overflowing with bananas, rice, mangoes, pineapples, potatoes etc, is a remarkable sight. The market has, however, become less important as roads linking the province of Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City have improved.
