This footbridge, designed in 1999 by Ellis O'Connel, spans St Augustine's Reach, the final stretch of the Frome, which is a tributary of the Avon. On the dockside, the old warehouses have been transformed into cafés and restaurants. Nearby, the vast open-air Millennium Square is adorned with sculptures by renowned local artists, water jets and illuminations, set against a backdrop of modern, even audacious, buildings, such as Canons House (1989-90).
