Buried at the foot of the mound, the new memorial was inaugurated in May 2015 to coincide with the bicentenary of the battle. The names of every regiment that participated in the clashes of 18 June 1815 appear on the Memorial Wall, all nationalities together. An innovative and immersive scenography puts visitors at the centre of the battle, providing insights into the whys and the wherefores.
