From the top of the Passwang, the panorama is extremely varied, stretching northwards over the last undulations of the Basel Jura, the Alsace plain (note the double ribbon of the Rhine and the Kembs reach belonging to the Grand Canal d'Alsace) framed by the Vosges and the Black Forest, and southwards over the Solothurn Jura and part of the Bernese Alps.
