The Michelin Guide's review
Established in 1925 as the country estate of Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum, this 3,600-acre ranch and wildlife preserve has a museum with a world-class collection of Western art, artifacts and special exhibits; a spectacular lodge (Phillips' former home), and a Native American Heritage Center. There is also an Oklahoma oil history area and a "traders camp" where frontier rendezvous are reenacted. More than 700 animals, including buffalo, elk, deer and longhorn cattle, graze freely in the natural surroundings of the Osage Hills.
