This quaintly old-fashioned museum is home to some superb fossils: skeletons of giant turtles and a stegadon (prehistoric elephant), fossilised tree trunks, and a reproduction of the skull of the "Java Man". Interesting collections of minerals and meteorites and a volcanic section with fine scale models of the archipelago's main ranges. The museum also boasts an earthquake simulator that the bravest may wish to try!
