The Michelin Guide's review
A sleeping area with boxed in beds, a living area and a stable-cum-barn all under one roof. This type of dwelling, called a "Black House" because of its open hearth without a chimney, was common until the middle of the 20C. Many of these houses were transformed when home improvement grants were introduced.
