  The Michelin Guide's review
The remains of the former Roman colony of Alba Fucens, founded in 303 BC, lie 70km south of Fossa. Excavations have uncovered the remains of a basilica, a forum, baths, a covered market and an amphitheatre. The interesting Chiesa di San Pietro (Church of St Peter) overlooks the archaeological site.
