San Gerlando Cathedral
Michelin Guide
Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The Normans in the 11C built the first Cathedral. Windows from the original edifice remain at the level of the current transept. The Cathedral was rebuilt between the 13 and 14C, modified in the 17C and then restored after its collapse in 1966. The unfinished campanile has four blind Gothic-Catalan windows. The interior is noticeable for the beautiful wooden ceiling of the central nave and the Baroque exuberance of the chancel, decorated with angels and golden garlands.
