  The Michelin Guide's review
The winding road to Applecross climbs gradually up the eastern flank of this pass (altitude: 626m). This single-track road has hairpin bends and 25% gradients and is set in a landscape of rocks and waterfalls. The views, framed by the valley, are spectacular: you can see Skye and Loch Kirshorn, Loch Carron and Loch Alsh. The descent to Applecross and the coast is much gentler than the ascent.
