The Michelin Guide's review
The Premužic Trail, laid out in 1930, crosses the Northern Velebit National Park on a north-south axis. Built of dry stone, it meets a varied range of karst formations and wild landscapes. From the mountain refuge known as "Rossi's Hut", a 2hr walk from Zavižan, the highest point of the park (1 676m), the trail takes you to Mt Alan (1 345m) in 4-5hr of easy walking. Note that the trail continues to Baške Oštarije, in the centre of the massif (40km).
