The Michelin Guide's review
This region, which owes its romantic nickname to the 19C artists who were inspired by its landscapes, extends for 90km north of Prague, in the Mnichovo Hradiště-Turnov-Jičín triangle. This Czech "paradise" is famous for its extraordinary sandstone formations which form unusual "rock towns". In addition to these stunning natural sites, the region also boasts historic monuments, castles and ruined fortresses such as Kost castle.
