The Michelin Guide's review
Separated from Saxon Switzerland by the River Elbe, Bohemian Switzerland, also known as Czech Switzerland, comprises a basin of sandstone between the Metalliferous Mountains and the Sudetes mountain range where the river has carved gorges up to 300m deep. Here, flat-topped summits and rocky labyrinths create a magical landscape which includes sights such as Pravčice Gate, the largest natural stone arch in Central Europe, and the spectacular Jetřichovice Rocks. A perfect area for hiking, including into neighbouring Saxony.
