The Michelin Guide's review
A fortified stronghold in the 13C, from 1750 to 1789 the castle was converted into the residence of Pierre-Antoine de Longpra, advisor to the Dauphiné parliament. The original moats were turned into a water feature and the defensive walls and terraces were replaced by formal flowerbeds. The relatively sober outer architecture hides an interior of 18C Italian inspiration, the work of some of the region's leading craftsmen of the era.
