Arthur-Boudin Square
Michelin Guide
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Old slate-shingled houses border the small Arthur Boudin square of the Enclos quarter, the heart of historic Honfleur, formerly encircled by fortifications. At no. 6 notice the chequered stone and flint Louis XIII house, and further on, the salt lofts, 17C buildings made of stone and covered with tiles. These lofts were built under the salt tax agreement to store the salt needed by the cod fishing boats.
