The Michelin Guide's review
On the banks of the Seine, this restaurant looks out over the limestone cliffs of Giverny and the passing barges. The setting is pleasant and the atmosphere inviting: polished concrete floors, whitewashed walls and old bistro furniture. Gabin Rodes, a young chef from Vernon who trained at Éric Guérin's La Mare aux Oiseaux, revisits bistro classics without distorting them, a case in point being his leeks in vinaigrette finished with fresh herbs and blue cheese. A strong focus on local ingredients, with produce sourced within a 100km radius. The lunchtime menu is simpler.
