The Michelin Guide's review
There are two sides to everything. Where there is light, there is shadow; where there is tradition, there is innovation. Torakuro was born when the two philosophies of the Imperial Hotel and its partner, the Ishikawa Group, aligned. The restaurant's name derives from Kohaku, where the head chef honed his skills. The characters were playfully adapted: 'ko' (tiger) was replaced with 'tora' (also meaning tiger), and 'haku' (white) with 'kuro' (black). Complementing one another, the space, the cuisine and the hospitality are in perfect harmony.
