Steeped in tradition and family-run since 1908, this country inn sees chef-patron Gerhard Schiller serving up ambitious seasonal regional cuisine with modern influences. You can choose to have four, six or eight courses of the tasting menu or simply order the dishes à la carte. Tempting examples include Attersee tench with yellow carrot, coriander and mustard seed, or Leithaberg venison saddle with potato roulade, green beans and loquat. Classics such as Zwiebelrostbraten (fried beef and onions in gravy) or chanterelle goulash are also available. The thoughtfully curated wine list homes in on Austria and the local region but also features international labels. Dine in the cosy, rustic-style interior or out on the terrace in the garden to the rear of the building.
