Meats and Grills
The Michelin Guide's review
The first Pobre Juan outlet opened in the Vila Olímpia in 2004 and nowadays you’ll find the brand all across the country. Inspired by traditional Argentinian steakhouses, Pobre Juan serves top-quality grilled meats in an informal and rustic setting. Each of its restaurants features a wide array of carefully selected meats, a process that extends from their provenance to the maturing process. Whether you order classic options such as short ribs, ribeye or flank, or the more exclusive centre cut ribeye, porterhouse or Wagyu, every dish here is perfectly cooked. If you’re eating out with friends, you may want to order the Gran Tabla, which serves three people and comes with delicious sides. Fish, seafood and chicken, all cooked on the open grill, are also available, as well as sublime desserts such as the exquisite churros with dulce de leche.
