The Michelin Guide's review
At the entrance to the Domaine de Verchant, Marcelle has been set up in a contemporary building with a light-filled dining room and a stepped terrace affording unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside. At the helm, chef Alexandre Caillaud devises three unique set menus inspired by local and seasonal produce, complemented by vegetables, some of which come from the restaurant's own kitchen garden. The starter is a delicate and refreshing seafood dish featuring sea almonds and samphire oil, followed by veal sweetbreads seared to golden perfection in beurre noisette, accompanied by braised lettuce and a revisited sauce grenobloise that is full of character.
