Set among mountains and fields of green at Hokkaido’s rugged heart, Akane-yado is a 15-minute drive from Naka-Furano Train Station. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout and serves home-cooked meals with an advance reservation, for a fee. Guests are assigned either a Western room or a Japanese room at check-in, based on availability. Japanese-style rooms feature traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Bathrooms and toilets are shared, and towels and toiletries must be brought by guests.
