Route Calculation
The vehicle database is updated regularly. The vehicle allows you to indicate consumption and costs corresponding to the selected vehicle during route calculations. We invite you to select the vehicle closest to yours for a more precise calculation than the default vehicle.
To save your route, go to your route result page and click on “Add this route to my favourites”. You will then be prompted to create an account or log in. Once connected, you will be able to find all your saved routes in your account or via the search bar.
To save an address, we recommend, for now, keeping the URL of your search.
To plan a trip with these fuels, we recommend selecting your vehicle or a similar vehicle by clicking on “add your vehicle.”
The Discovery Route is automatically suggested when the route allows it. This itinerary takes you along the scenic roads highlighted on Michelin maps. For more information, please refer to our dedicated article.
To access the roadmap, calculate your route, then click on “Roadmap” below the selected itinerary. You will then be able to see all the maneuvers and roads taken, as well as the detailed distance traveled on highways.
The route printing feature is available on the roadmap page. To print the route sheet, please select a route, click on “Roadmap“ and then click the “Print” button.
To activate traffic information on the map, go to the second icon at the top right of your map and activate the option.
The default route calculated by ViaMichelin takes closed roads into account but does not consider real-time traffic. If you want to take it into account, go to the route settings and select the option: “Taking traffic into account”. Additionally, if you want to take a closed road, feel free to add a stop on that road to force the route to take that path.
This option will give you the toll prices for class 2 vehicles, the fuel cost, and the adapted route duration but does not take the size into account for the types of roads taken.
