The Tesla Model S has the highest overall scores, ahead of the Model Y and Lexus RX. Both Tesla models score highest for safety aids (98%) while the Model Y and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 are the two safest cars for adults traveling in the front (97%). The Mercedes-Benz T-Class and Citan Tourer score highest for child protection (93%) while the Mazda CX-60 and Lexus RX lead in pedestrian protection (89%).

By category, the Tesla Model S leads in the sedan and electric vehicle categories, while the Tesla Model Y tops the small SUV category. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the winner in the large family car category. Chinese manufacturers new to Europe are also doing well, with the ORA Funky Cat and WEY Coffee 01 gaining the highest scores for large SUVs and small family cars, respectively. Wey and Ora are two brands from the same group, Great Wall Motor, with Wey offering exclusively plug-in hybrid models and Ora fully electric cars.

Note that none of the cars tested scored lower than four stars, which suggests that the safety level of new models entering the market is particularly high.
