It all started with a joke that Honda made on April Fools Day. The manufacturer promoted a (fake) front passenger seat specially adapted to dogs, with two places for their bowls. Seeing the very positive reactions of internet users, the manufacturer decided to propose a new pack bringing together several accessories for the trunk, providing optimal comfort to the animal.

It includes a selection of products designed to make travel safer than ever for pets. It includes a partition between the trunk and the rest of the passenger compartment, rubber mats and in some cases a step protector, which will protect the body paint when the dog is getting in or out. The pack is available on most of the manufacturer’s current models and can even be installed on some older models.

The launch of these car accessories specifically for dogs is intended to offer owners peace of mind and when traveling by providing a cozy space for their fur baby. The pack should also help reduce the risk of interior damage and driver distraction, as is too often the case when an animal is loose inside the vehicle.

This pack is available in the UK for a price of between 530 and 810 pounds (about US$610-935), depending on the model.
