This museum is housed in the 1923 yellow-brick Ferlita Bakery building, built on the site of a bakery established in 1818 and considered to be the cradle of Cuban bread - white bread with a thick crumb. The museum charts the history of the neighbourhood and its activities, courtesy of photographs and numerous artefacts. The small house next door, known as La Casita (1895), provides a glimpse into a typical early-20C cigar maker's home.
