This villa built in 1818 by Emmanuel Jobez, a master smithy and fan of Italian architecture, is something of an anomaly in the Jura landscape. Its square plan, underscored by Ionic pilasters, colourful rendering, a central rotunda and Pompei-inspired decoration are all reminiscent of Italian villas. Entirely furnished and carpeted with period pieces, the interior, fully equal to the exterior, is now the venue for concerts. The terrace opens onto an unspoiled landscape.
