Description

This brick house was the home of the Quaker seamstress Betsy Ross (1752-1836), who is credited with making the first Stars and Stripes flag. Her living quarters and workshop are preserved in their original condition. Temporary exhibitions of a historical nature are also held here, and activities are organised for visitors young and old (projection of films, cookery workshops etc).
