Description
Wright's admired 1902 design here prefigures many of the elements of his 1909 Robie House, including a raised living space curtained by ornate stained glass, a wide roof that hovers above a band of windows, and horizontally textured brick walls. The front door is hidden by a wall but revealed by a rounded arch, suggesting a serene and organic fortress.
